About My Practice:
Andi approaches counseling with the understanding that all individuals have a unique story that is deserving of a safe space to process and heal. She believes that the counseling room can be a place that encourages hope and helps individuals enter into a healthier, deeper, and richer understanding of both themselves and others.
Although Andi has a degree in Christian counseling, her practice welcomes individuals of all worldviews to engage with their stories in a way that invites restoration and healing. Additionally, Andi is trained in EMDR, has completed a DBT Skills Training program, and is a Certified First Responder Associate.
Andi engages in counseling through a trauma-informed view that relies heavily on a person-centered approach aimed at creating a genuine, warm, and safe environment for all clients and their stories. Her work includes elements of Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and EMDR. Andi has experience working with undergraduate and graduate level students, low-income populations, and refugees from around the world. She enjoys walking with individuals ages 10 and older as they courageously engage with depression, anxiety, relational brokenness, abuse, grief, and a variety of other experiences.
