Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make an appointment?
To make an appointment or for general questions, please head over to our contact page to complete an inquiry form. One of our counselors will follow up with you within the next 24-48 hours. You can also email us directly at northshorecounselinggroup@gmail.com.
What can I expect from a session?
Individual counseling sessions typically last between 45 – 50 minutes. During your first session, you and your counselor will work together to gather background information and identify goals for your time in counseling. The counseling environment is confidential, and what you share is safe between you and your counselor. You will discuss more about confidentiality and any possible limits to this with your clinician during your intake appointment.
What are your rates?
Our counseling rates start at $120 per 50-minute session. With that, making counseling affordable is a priority of Northshore Counseling Group. Should finances become a barrier to receiving services, please feel free to reach out to us to inquire further about suggested support and additional resources.
Do you take insurance?
Although our counselors are not currently paneled with any insurance companies at this time, we are able to provide clients with the necessary documentation for insurance reimbursement if your plan provides this coverage. Additionally, we are also able to accept HSA cards should that be a part of your current healthcare plan.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our counselors ask that you notify them 48 hours prior to session should you need to reschedule. Cancelations within 24 hours of your session time may result in the full session fee. Should you have any questions about this policy, or if you need to cancel an upcoming appointment, please reach out to your counselor directly.
What if I am interested in having a counselor speak at my upcoming event?
Our counselors are excited to partner with the community through providing seminars and workshops. If you are interested in having one of our clinicians come to an upcoming event, please complete the inquiry form on our contact page or email us at northshorecounselinggroup@gmail.com and we would be happy to talk with you further.
